I had the sweetest time painting Live Guest Portraits for K+M's wedding in Denver, Colorado! They truly know how to make their closest family + friends feel special. We flew in a day early to get a little more sight-seeing in since this was my first time to the Mile High City, so I'm sharing our recap, recommendations, wedding vendors, + more!

Quick summary: Lots to do within walking distance. Excellent gluten-free options. Keep yourself hydrated!!
TRAVEL, ACCOMODATIONS, + TRANSPORTATION
We flew into the Denver International Airport + took the train from the airport to Union Station (40 min ride) in downtown Denver. Grabbing a ticket + boarding the train was super simple! We stayed at Limelight Hotel, which was directly next to Union Station (you can also browse the cute shops!) + also where the wedding was located, so this made our commutes much quicker!
Limelight Hotel was a wonderful experience. Clean, within walking distance to many restaurants + things to do, modern with an earthy feel, and great morning coffee! Our stay also included admission to the Museum of Contemporary Art with other awesome amenities, such as in-room espresso machine + robes.
Ubers + Lyfts are also readily available!
FOOD
Hopdoddy Burger Bar | This was SO good, fresh, + had excellent gluten-free options (we actually ended up eating here twice - highly recommend the sweet potato fries)!
Marco's Coal Fired Pizza | Had this delivered! Fresh ingredients + a 12/10 gluten-free crust!! I'll be craving this until I get to go back.
Coors Field | Did you know Coors Field has gluten-free hot dogs available? Here's their Dining Guide.
The Post Chicken & Beer | Naturally gluten-free chicken tenders! 100% recommend. My picky husband even loved them!
Cristo's Coffee Bar | Just around the corner from The Post + I had a delicious maple iced latte!
THINGS TO DO
Coors Field | We saw the Rockies vs. Dodgers game! If you're going in the warmer months, definitely grab a spot in the shade. We underestimated how hot it'd be! PSA: Stay hydrated in Denver!!
Pearl Street Mall in Boulder | It's about a 35 min drive from Denver + they have the cutest little boutique shops, tons of restaurants, coffee shops - all with a view of the Rocky Mountains. I of course found myself a Colorado pin as my souvenir!
Chautauqua Park in Boulder (pictured above) | It's an easy walk to see some gorgeous views if you don't have time to visit the National Parks! You can also take a Lime bike or scooter to the park for easy transportation.
Holey Moley in Denver | An awesome place to visit for kids or adults!
Museum of Contemporary Art in Denver | Within walking distance from Limelight + they also have a rooftop cafe!
