"rip current to calm" watercolor study original painting

titled "rip current to calm," this original watercolor painting + watercolor study by Kate Tipton is inspired by the feeling of leaving a comfort zone to go after something you knew would be worth it.
in further explanation of the title, oceans waves (fear, outside circumstances, people trying to talk you out of your dreams, etc) move towards the shore (where you are now, or where you feel stuck). but a rip current (you, in this explanation) break straight through those waves + run back out to sea (your dream, something new, something bigger) to a place that brings you peace, or calmness.
rip currents are easy to underestimate. others may not see how strong they are or what they're capable of, but that doesn't make them any less powerful. you are a rip current. don't let fear push you back to the shore.
